The GBF Executive Team consist of former GBC delegates and student leaders volunteering their diverse talents to advancing the ideals of the GBF.
First attending the 2011 GBF Barcelona Conference, Jörg joined the Alumni Team to keep the motivating GBC spirit he experience in Spain moving. After graduating from the MBA program at Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School in Belgium, he returned to Germany and work for Deutsche Bundesbank (German Central Bank) in their Bank Regulation department. He recently moved to the European Central Bank to join the Single Supervisory Mechanism that brings Banking Supervision to a joint European level and enjoys being part of such a start-up project.
Prior to his MBA, Jörg worked as a Credit Analyst for a large German Bank covering large European Multinationals and other wholesale deals. Beyond his professional interest, Jörg is passionate about mountains with their special atmosphere and likes to hike, mountain bike or snowboard. He loves to combine that with travelling around the world to experience new countries and their cultures.
Marie Irvine is the Director of Emergency Management at Sarapis, an NGO leveraging open-source solutions to help communities better prepare, respond and recover from disaster in the U.S. and internationally. Marie has been involved in organizing within the GBF in various capacities since representing Copenhagen Business School as a GBC delegate in 2009 (Taipei, NCCU). Marie holds a Master’s in Leadership & Management Studies (Copenhagen Business School) and a CEMS Master’s in International Management (HEC Paris). She is currently based in New York City.
